A very important message from ANC Washington GREETINGS EVERYONE! January 3, 2012 (Tuesday) evening at 6:30PM at the Dorothy Height Library at the corner of Benning Road and Minnesota Avenue, NE (Across from CVS and Safeway), the ANC 7A Commissioners will host a Town Hall Meeting with Mayor Gray. Please schedule your time so you can come out and tell the Mayor what is on your mind and let him know that we expect the same service as other city residents are receiving. Let him know WE DO NOT WANT AND WILL NOT STAND FOR A MARAIJUANA DISTRIBUTION AND GROWING CENTER TO BE LOCATED BEHIND THE OLD SENATE THEATRE. TELL HIM WE WANT OUR POST OFFICE TO STAY OPEN - TOO MANY SENIORS AND DISABLED RESIDENTS DEPEND ON THE CLOSENESS OF THAT LIBRARY. TELL HIM WE WANT A SAFER COMMUNITY AND WE WANT BETTER GROCERY STORES AND RESTAURANTS TELL HIM WE WANT DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION STAFF TO KEEP THEIR WORD TO INSTALL A FULL FUNCTIONING TRAFFIC LIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ALLEN HOUSE DURING THE MINNESOTA AVENUE GREAT STREETS PROJECT AS PROMISED. Please pass the word to all your neighbors and family to come to the Town Hall Meeting with the Mayor Gray on Tuesday, 3 January 2012, at the Dorothy Height Library.
